The Nova Scotia Immigration invited 330 candidates via the Nova Scotia Labour Market Priorities stream in its latest draws held on October 7th. In both draws, Express Entry candidates with skilled work experience were invited.

286 candidates were invited in the first draw and 44 candidates were invited in the second draw via the Nova Scotia Nominee Program (NSNP).

Requirements for the first draw of 286 skilled workers:

  • Have a job offer from a Nova Scotian employer for full-time skilled work in Nova Scotia that lasts at least one year after your permanent resident visa is issued
  • Have at least one year worth of work experience in a skilled occupation
  • Should have a Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) of at least 5 in English
  • Have a Canadian high school credential or equivalent
  • Submit the application no later than 11:59 p.m., November 6, 2021

Documents to be submitted along with the application are:

  • Copies of language test certificates
  • Proof of education (degree or high school equivalent)
  • A job offer showing the title and duties of the position related to the job offer, NOC Code of the position, annual salary, number of weekly hours, duration of job offer and work address.

The NSNP also invited 44 carpenters in the second draw. Requirements for the second draw are as follows:

  • Have a primary occupation as a carpenter (NOC code 7271).
  • Have at least two years of skilled trades experience
  • Have a CLB score of 5 or higher in English in all language abilities in the language test
  • Provide letters of reference from employers to demonstrate that they have two or more years of skilled trades experience as a carpenter.
  • Submit the application no later than 11:59 p.m., November 6, 2021
