In the latest study conducted by the Visual Capitalist website using the U.S Bureau of Labor Statistics, the top 10 fastest-growing jobs in the US and Canada are as follows:

  1. Wind turbine service technicians
  2. Nurse practitioners

  4. Statisticians
  5. Physical therapist assistants
  6. Information security analysts
  7. Home health and personal care aides
  8. Medical and health services managers
  9. Data scientists and mathematical science occupation
  10. Physician assistants

Industries that make use of green energy, healthcare, and IT are expected to grow at an exponential rate across North America. In Canada, the boom in several jobs is attributed to the fact that there are many pathways for highly-skilled tech workers to gain permanent residency in Canada. Solar panel installers at placed at the third position on this list as demand for these workers is expected to go up by 52.1 percent with them earning an annual salary of $46,470 USD. The home health and personal care aide jobs industry is expected to grow by 32.6 percent, making it the seventh on this list but this sector has the lowest annual wages on the list at $27,080 USD only.

Medical and health services manager jobs are expected to grow by 32.5 percent making these jobs the eighth on the list with annual wages of $104,280 USD. Job opportunities for statisticians are projected to increase by 35.4 percent, at an annual wage of $92,270 USD while the IT analysts sector is expected grow by 33.3 percent, with them earning almost $103,590 USD annually.
