Prince Edward Island Immigration has partnered with the Collège Communautaire du Nouveau-Brunswick’s (CCNB) Language Learning Centre and announced that two new courses will be introduced for immigrants to learn French for free.
The courses are:
- The Cours De Langue Pour Les Immigrants Au Canada (CLIC)
- The French for Parents course
NOTE: These courses are currently being offered online due to Covid-19 restrictions.
About the CLIC:
The Cours De Langue Pour Les Immigrants Au Canada (CLIC) has been established to help new immigrants learn and develop basic knowledge of the French language in order to acquire a CLB 4 or NCLC 4 as proof of language proficiency in their Canadian citizenship applications.
Timings of the classes are:
Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 to 9 p.m. until the month of June.
About the French for Parents course:
This course has been established for new immigrants or refugees who hold PR and whose children are currently attending a French-language school or are enrolled in a French immersion program.
This course is aimed to help parents acquire basic French-speaking, reading, and writing skills so they can aid and help their children to learn better in school.
Timings of the classes are:
Mondays and Wednesdays from 6 to 8 p.m. till March 23.
