The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) sent out 41 invitations in its latest Entrepreneur stream draw. This is the second draw with the next one being planned for November 4th, 2021. The minimum score of this draw was 110 points on the Entrepreneur stream points grid.
The steps for the Saskatchewan immigration Entrepreneur stream are as follows:
- Submission of Expression of interest
- Invitation to submit an application
- Nomination by the province
The EOI submitted by the candidate must meet the following requirements:
- The candidate should have a minimum net worth of $500,000 legally acquired.
- The candidate should have a minimum of three years of entrepreneurial or relevant management experience.
- The candidate should invest at least $300,000 in Regina or Saskatoon or $200,000 in any other Saskatchewan area.
The applications submitted must have the following attached:
- A business establishment plan that confirms the figures mentioned in the EOI, and including at least one-third of ownership of any company located in the province of Saskatchewan, unless the investment made amounts to $1 million or higher.
- The creation of two or more jobs for citizens or permanent residents of Canada if the business is located in Regina or Saskatoon.
- The commitment by the candidate to be active in the day-to-day management of the business.
The province of Saskatchewan gives priority to three factors in order to sort candidates that have the same score on the points grid. In order of priority these three factors are:
- Official language ability
- Candidates with businesses planned for a key economic sector
- The completion of an exploratory visit
