What is the Canada Strong Pass?

Canada’s expansive wilderness, rich cultural tapestry, and iconic landmarks will be more accessible than ever this summer. Launching on June 20, 2025, the Canada Strong Pass is a new government-backed initiative designed to make travel within Canada easier and more affordable for both residents and international visitors. Running until September 2, 2025, this seasonal program is your passport to national parks, museums, historic sites, and scenic rail journeys, all at significantly reduced or no cost.

With benefits tailored for families, youth, and budget-conscious travellers, the Canada Strong Pass is more than just a promotional tool; it's a national invitation to rediscover the heart and soul of Canada.

What is the Canada Strong Pass?

The Canada Strong Pass is a federal initiative introduced by the Government of Canada to boost domestic tourism, foster national pride, and encourage international visitors to explore Canada’s natural and cultural attractions.

Unlike other travel programs, no physical pass or registration is required. Visitors can simply show up at participating attractions and take advantage of the benefits. This hassle-free, all-access approach makes it ideal for both planned vacations and spontaneous getaways.

At its core, the Canada Strong Pass is about making Canadian experiences inclusive, especially for younger generations and families who may otherwise face financial barriers to travel.
