Provincial nomination offers a pathway to permanent residence in Canada.

The Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs) enable Canadian provinces & territories to nominate people who want to immigrate to Canada and who’re interested to settle in a specific province. Each of the Canadian province as well as territory except Quebec and Nunavut has its own PNP. Each PNP has at least an immigration stream, which is aligned with the Express Entry immigration system. The Provincial nominations that are issued under the Express Entry aligned streams are called ‘enhanced nominations’ and award the candidates of Express Entry an extra 600 CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System) points.

With over 80 provincial immigration streams, finding out a valuable route to Canadian permanent residence, which suits you best can be challenging. I Can Help Immigration Services can help you find the right Canadian immigration pathway. Learn more about the Provincial Nomination Programs by clicking on the different provinces mentioned below:

Applying for permanent residency in Canada with a Provincial Nomination

PNPs in Canada are seeking as well as retaining eligible foreign nationals by making the method of applying for permanent residence in Canada more accessible. Whether a provincial nomination certificate is issued through Express Entry or outside the immigration system, a nominee is still needed for submitting a separate application for the PR (Permanent Resident) status to IRCC. Quebec doesn’t participate in PNP of the federal government and Nuvanut presently doesn’t have a PNP. Rather, the Governments of Canada and Quebec have entered into various agreements that allows Quebec to establish its selection criteria for the economic immigration.
