BCPNP or the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program is an immigration program. It is a Provincial Nominee Program in Canada. Workers, entrepreneurs and graduates can settle permanently in British Columbia through this program.

This immigration program has two streams for graduates and workers – Skills Immigration and Express Entry BC – plus a stream for business people. These streams are divided into different categories. Some of the categories are aligned with the Express Entry Canada immigration system. Successful candidates under one of these classes receive 600 plus CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System) points and an ITA (Invitation to Apply) for permanent residence at a draw from pool.

Moreover, some categories are dealt under a special system called SIRS (Skills Immigration Registration System). Under this unique system, the applicants are needed to register a profile & offer some personal informational about their job offer in BC, language ability, work experience and education level. The SIRS works on ITA/Expression of Interest basis, whereby registered applicants are alloted a score and the BC government performs periodic draws where candidates who meet cut-off threshold for their class in that specific draw are invited to apply for the provincial nomination.

Though a few BCPNP classes need applicants to have a job offer from BC employer, a few categories managed outside SIRS don’t need applicants to have the job offer.

This program even offers a Tech Pilot program where IT and tech workers can immigrate to BC and get PR status in Canada.
